French-house wizard Bellaire makes his Scottish debut, taking on two big headline shows at Berkeley Suite & Cab Vol. Before the show, we caught up with him to talk about his defining moments, productions & favourite tracks.

What’s your earliest memory of dance music?

I would say my first strong memories of dance music were Daft Punk, especially the Discovery album!

What has been your most notable part of your DJ/producer journey so far?

Releasing my debut album this year is definetely one of the most exciting things i’ve ever done!

Are there any tracks that you have produced that you think define you best? Why do you feel that this track best represents you?

I would say that recently, my track "Thank You" with DJ Spen was a dreamtrack to make! First because DJ Spen is one of my biggest inspirations and also the process of making it was very smooth!

The dancefloor needs an energy boost. What’s your USB weapon of choice to bring it back to life?

My secret weapon would be: State Of Family - Can’t Stand Without You! a pure piano/classic vocal house masterpiece

Is there a DJ set that completely changed your perspective on electronic music?

MCDE’s sets in general made me realise back then how eclectic you could be on a dancefloor!

What’s your go-to track to listen to outside of club settings?

My go to track right now when I’m walking in the streets is a hip hop one: Del The Funky Homosapien - Mistadobalina
